Integra today introduced its first A/V receiver to carry the new THX
Select2 Plus Certification. The 7x100 DTR-6.9 A/V receiver is aimed at
the custom installation market and features HDMI v. 1.3a switching,
1080p Faroudja DCDi upscaling, onboard decoding for lossless and HD
audio formats, sophisticated multizone/multisource capabilities, and
Integra's signature systems integration and control features
The
DTR-6.9 is Integra's first receiver to carry THX's new Select2 Plus™
Certification, which includes the new THX Loudness Plus™ volume control
technology. This new processing algorithm compensates for the tonal and
spatial shifts that occur when the volume level is reduced below the
reference levels that the original soundtrack was mastered for. For
instance, by slightly increasing the relative volume of the ambient
sound at lower volumes, the impact of movies, music and games is much
closer to what the sound engineer originally intended
The
DTR-6.9 features four HDMI inputs, and is fully compatible with HDMI v.
1.3a, including 1080p and Deep Color™ 36-bit video signals. It features
onboard decoding for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD
Master Audio, and DTS-HD High Resolution Audiomaking it fully capable
of exploiting the high definition audio as well as video potential of
the Blu-Ray disc formats, and all using a single HDMI cable connection.
All HDMI inputs are upscaled to 1080p resolution using Faroudja's DCDi
Cinema technology.
The Integra DTR-6.9 includes a
comprehensive package of features specifically tailored to the needs of
custom installers, including an Ethernet port for integration with
Network-based control systems such as AMX Device Discovery and Crestron
E-Control. It also includes bi-directional RS-232, RIHD (Remote
Interactive over HDMI) system control integration over HDMI, three
programmable 12-volt triggers, dual IR inputs, and three unique
assignable IR code sets. Lockable customized dealer settings can be
independently stored for easy recall, making it simple for installers
to maintain complex installations.
For simplified setup,
the DTR-6.9 includes Audyssey's acclaimed MultEQ room acoustics
correction, as well as Audyssey's Dynamic EQ algorithm, which refines
the receiver's frequency response and surround levels moment-by-moment
to compensate for deteriorations in the listening experience at
different volume levels. These functions work together automatically to
tailor the receiver's output to correct for room acoustics, listening
position, and playback-level distortions, delivering an overall
experience that is a much closer match to what the audio production
engineers originally intended
Designed to offer maximum
flexibility and integration options for multi-room audio distribution
and control, the DTR-6.9 is capable of processing two audio sources
simultaneously for both the main and second zones, and includes a
dedicated high definition capable Zone 2 component video output. It
features a selectable fixed/variable line level Zone 2 output to feed a
dedicated zone receiver or amplifier. It also includes Integra's
Powered Zone 2 feature, which employs two of the receiver's internal
amplifier channels to power speakers in a second room while
simultaneously providing a full 5.1 channel home theater system in the
main room; when Zone 2 is turned off, the main zone reverts to
7.1-channel output. For the second zone there are independent controls
for bass, treble, balance, maximum volume, and power-on volume.
The
Integra DTR-6.9 includes a high quality AM/FM radio tuner and is also
"SAT Ready" with connections for both XM and Sirius satellite radio,
which can be simultaneously active. It includes 40 presets for AM, FM,
XM, or Sirius stations. The DTR-6.9 is now available from Integra
dealers with a suggested retail price of $1,000.
